Ultrasound Imaging

Laytonsville Veterinary Practice began offering ultrasound diagnostics in 2004, and we rely heavily on it, reaching for it some 15-20 times a day for quick confirmations of what we think we see on an X-ray, to localize the urinary bladder for sterile urine collection, as well as for complete abdominal scans which oftern reduce the need for exploratory surgery. Our veterinarians will, collectively, be spending a total of 80 hours of ultrasound continuing education in 2013, in Dallas, TX, to continue improving our diagnositc ultrasound skills.
